What is the duration of a session?Sessions are typically between 50-60 minutes.

What is an intake session?The initial session includes an intake where I establish rapport with my clients, creating a foundation of trust. During this session, I go over your background history and presenting challenges. Your goals for counselling are also established which will provide a clear direction for the counselling journey.

What is termination?Ultimately, the goal of counselling is to empower you to navigate your challenges, enhance your well-being, and develop the skills and insights needed for lasting positive change. Once you have developed these skills you are ready for termination. This marks the end of your counselling sessions.

What documents will I have to complete before my first session?There are a few documents that need to be completed before the counselling process begins. These forms are important and consist of the following: Client details Consent form Person responsible for payment

What if I need to cancel a session?If you need to cancel or reschedule a counselling session, you need to provide notice at least 24 hours before the session. Failure to provide sufficient notice may lead to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the session fee.

How do I schedule an appointment?You can schedule an appointment by calling, sending an email, messaging on WhatsApp or using my online booking system.

How much does each session cost?The cost of each session varies depending on the counselling option you choose. In-person individual counselling - R650 for 50 minutes Online individual counselling - R600 for 50 minutes Workshop - Cost varies based on the specific topic and the unique requirements

Do you accept medical aid payments?An invoice for the counselling sessions will be sent after each session. Payment must be made on the day of the session to secure future appointments. Payment methods and instructions will be provided on the invoice. I am registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) which means that I am accepted by most medical aids. Although I do not claim directly to medical aid you can use the statement provided to claim from your medical aid. It is recommended that clients verify their available funds and confirm their medical aid's payout policy in advance.

What if I do not live in Cape Town?My practice is not limited to those in Cape Town. Through online counseling, I offer my services to individuals across South Africa, ensuring accessibility to support regardless of location.

What if I can only do online counselling?You will always be able to choose between online counselling or in-person counselling. Choose what is best suited to your needs.
