Bring creativity, curiosity, and meaningful conversations into your counselling sessions with Counselling Activities Pack 1. This printable collection includes five thoughtfully designed activities that help children and adolescents explore their emotions, build resilience, develop self-awareness, and recognise their strengths. Each activity ends with guided reflection questions to encourage deeper conversations and meaningful insight.
This pack includes:
What's Under My Crab Shell?
This activity helps children explore the deeper emotions underneath by reflecting on what others saw, what they were truly feeling, what caused it, what they needed, and what they wish others understood. It also encourages children to identify healthy ways to calm themselves.
Feelings in a Scoop
Children create two ice creams: one representing how they feel today and another representing a feeling they'd like more of. By choosing colours, flavours, textures, and toppings, they learn to express emotions creatively while reflecting on emotional needs and change.
Bubblegum Strengths
A strengths-based self-esteem activity where each bubblegum represents something positive about the child, including their strengths, acts of kindness, personal qualities, and areas they are still growing in. This worksheet promotes confidence, self-awareness, and a growth mindset.
Slice of Me
Children choose different pizza "ingredients" that describe who they are, helping them identify character strengths, values, interests, and qualities that make them unique. Reflection questions encourage discussion about identity and personal growth.
What Fills Your Cup?
Encourage children to identify the people, activities, and experiences that help them feel happy, calm, and recharged. This gentle self-care activity promotes emotional awareness while helping children recognise healthy ways to look after their wellbeing.
